DIY Summer Boredom Buster

The summer heat is going to be here before we know it, and we know how much our pups love spending their days bathing in the sun, so making sure they are stay cool and hydrated throughout the summer months is crucial. If you let your dog out to play in the yard unattended, make sure you are checking on them often, or leaving multiple sources of fresh water for them to use throughout the day! Luckily, we also have a fun and brain-engaging treat and “toy” that we know your pup will love for this summer!

Aside from keeping their water bowl full to the brim, we love this DIY Frozen “Toy” from Craft Home and Garden Ideas that keeps on giving! Not only is this a great way to keep your dog engaged, this frozen toy keep them hydrating and doing one of their favorite things: LICKING!

Simply grab a bucket or extra water bowl and fill it with 1/3 cup of chicken brother and fill the remaining bowl with water. Next, place your dog’s favorite rubber toys, balls, or favorite fruit for an extra flavor of fun! Finally, place the bowl in the freezer over night or for at least 6 hours. Wake up in the morning, or pull it out before you head to a BBQ and your dog will enjoy it for hours to come!
